I took a cab to the airport his morning...
Roy picked me up. He moved here from Nigeria 4 years ago.
It was 4 am and he had a big smile on his face and pep in his step.
He has had two daughters since he arrived with his wife.
He mentors at the CCBC and is transferring to University of Maryland to study computer science.
He owned a few businesses in Nigeria, a laundro-mat and was involved in real estate.
I am grateful...
grateful to live in a time when people of all races can pursue their dreams...
grateful to live in a country where opportunity still exists for those who choose to work hard for it...
grateful for my work and for the opportunity to dream even bigger...
grateful to LIVE and DREAM free...
Above all else...
I value JUSTICE and FREEDOM.... and am more than grateful for living in a time like no other... where greater justice and freedom exists than ever before...
the world will continue to move forward
in thanksgiving
and
in harmony,
Nestor
