You probably have heard the expression, "Keepin' my head above water!"

Often used as a response to "How are you doing?"

I try never to say "Crazy busy" anymore... because that is not who I want to be and that is not how I want to live my life.

"Keeping our heads above water"... it is how we so often answer the question...

It is such a low bar - such the wrong bar!

Think about it.. HEAD ABOVE WATER means we are SURVIVING!

"How are you doing?"

"SURVIVING"...

Who wants to live that life?

Granted - it's better than the alternative... but we have got to get ourselves OUT OF THE POOL!

I like truth...

Really I LOVE truth... in all matters.

TRUTH is SOLID GROUND...

TRUTH is what we must seek in all aspects of our lives.  And, it's far from easy.

The truth about our situations - at work, at home, as a community... as a world...

When you understand and speak to the truth- you are walking on solid ground - and as a result you are in CONTROL of your direction, your pace, your progress.

We must grow.  We must reach.  We must understand what body of water we are in - and then work to find HARD GROUND.... ABSOLUTE TRUTH.

How much more fun is that?

How long can you tread water, and be taken where the currents desire?

I keep thinking about that scene in the Revenant, or in any other movie where the main actor falls into the rapids and "keeps their head above water" to end someplace they never intended to land...

And, then they get out of the water... and they start walking deliberately and in the direction of their choice.

GET OUT OF THE WATER...

Figure out how to eliminate the forces that are holding you ABOVE and AWAY from the TRUTH.

Sure, survival is our first objective.  And, we need to accomplish that.

But, we are capable of so much more than survival.

We deserve so much more than survival...

And, the first way to accomplish that is to realize the expectation that we are living to...

Realize the EXPECTATION that we are SPEAKING TO...

Next time someone asks you how you are doing, consider saying...

"KNEES ABOVE WATER!"

or "LEGS ABOVE WATER"...

"WALKING TOWARD MY MOUNTAIN"...

'SKIPPING TOWARD THE SUNSET"...

Get your head way above the water...

GET OUT OF THE POOL!

WALK ON THE SOLID GROUND OF TRUTH...

AND GO WHERE YOUR DREAM OF GOING!

"How are you doing?"

In harmony,

Nestor
