It is hard to care,

to really care...

really, really care...

AND, to accept at the same time,

that we can't fix anything, but ourselves.

When it comes to raising children, running departments, divisions... friendships...

How can you CARE like crazy...

And not be emotionally wrapped around the outcome...

Not take the outcome personally?

It's hard.

Possibly the hardest thing we have to do as parents...

to care about our children and yet accept that they ultimately decide the person they want to be... the life they want to live.

I do believe that the greatest possibility we have of affecting change in others,

is if we can achieve amazing care, and acceptance at the same time.

When we don't accept a person's sole ability to improve themselves, we end up wanting to drive for them, and that, I believe, never teaches them to take the wheel.

It's a longer conversation than we can hit this morning...

but consider the thought...

CARE...

CARE like crazy...

but CARE carefully...

LOVE... love limitlessly...

and accept that your care and your love will accomplish only care and love...

growth must come from within...

No one can force our hands on the wheel...

But, people can inspire us to think differently...

Care carefully... care with love and acceptance, so that eventually when those you care about and love take the wheel,

they don't drive away...

Think about it...

with harmony.
