I believe what I believe,

not because of what I have READ,

but because of what I have LIVED...

I aspire to lead,

in the way that I aspire to lead,

not because of what the books say,

but because of what my heart knows to be true...

There is a right and a wrong...

And, the vast majority of the situations and choices that we face in life are a delicate combination of both...

I am pushing...

harder and more deliberately than possibly ever before.

And, some resist...

because it's change, because it's different, because it's hard, or simply because they disagree.

I see some roll their eyes, discounting my direction because they think it might come from "books"...

Makes me smile...

My conviction and evolving clarity doesn't come from a book, or from anything that I have read.

It comes from life - and my observations of people, of organizations and of companies.

The beauty of travel and of diversity - is perspective... context.

I have been observing people in life and business situations since I was a child.

And, I have seen those who embrace "harmony" and those who don't...

And, I have seen the vast difference in their lives and in their success and in their happiness.

Books help me create greater structure around what I already know... around the experiences that I have lived... around the values that I have experienced in people.

Books help me categorize the experiences - in some cases, make more sense of them, and in other cases believe them with greater conviction because there may be science that supports things which always "felt right".

My life is in no way any application of any "book" or any collection of "books"...

My life is very much my application of what I believe to be TRUE,

And, what is at times overwhelming is how little many, in fact most people, get to understand the absolute truth as they grow older...

Perhaps the reason that most people "slow down" their learning pace is because they start to get comfortable in their "knowing" and start to walk away from the discomfort of "unknowing"...

It is a fine line...

I have greater and greater conviction - in small part because of what I know...

In much greater part because of what I am now learning - what I am starting to understand...

Everyone is right and everyone is wrong... in almost everything...

Life gets more complicated.

That is why I keep searching for the

"absolute truths"

those axioms

that all of life is built on...

such as harmony...

and, then I wake up

day

after

day

and

try

a little harder...

to learn a little more...

to LIVE a little more...

in harmony
