Caring is harder...
It consumes more of our minds and hearts.
It is at the core of harmony.
Not caring is so much easier...
Not caring doesn't weigh heavy on us.
Not caring doesn't make us accountable.
Not caring doesn't make us responsible.
But not caring about people and the situations they are in provides short term relief of concern, at the cost of longer term lack of purpose and meaning.
To care... as hard as it is sometimes... is to be engaged.
To care... as painful as it is sometimes... is to feel.
To care... as scary as it is sometimes... is to live.
And, caring is harmony.
