THANK you to those of you who have been asking about my cousin, and sending prayers…
Her name is Carmen, and she remains very much in my thoughts. My mind goes to her over and over again… everyday.
She is brain-dead and she is alive. The damage to her brain from the strokes was extensive, and the doctors remain certain she will never regain consciousness. She is being kept alive by a respirator. Noone knows how long she will be with us. It could be weeks, it could be years.
I understand and accept death. This in-between is harder for me to embrace. It is what it is. And, it is sad.
I feel the sadness. And, I realize that around all of that sadness are countless blessings. My life is full of so many wonderful things, that the sad aspects of it, while very real and painful, coexist with all of the light and wonder and happiness.
Regarding my posts, I am committed to writing and keeping this blog going. Realistically, through the end of the year, I will be writing 2 – 3 per week. The past few weeks have been pretty amazing, professionally speaking.
We won a 10 year contract with the government that made an acquisition we made a few years ago, a nice win.
Last week, we closed on a deal to merge with a company on the West Coast that opens up a brand new market and tremendous upside for our company.
I wake up everyday with the simple objective of leaving the world around me a little better than I found it – helping the people that I meet find a little more meaning and happiness… That is why I exist!
Well, over the past months, various important strategic changes have been realized. I am proud of the company that I am helping to build. I see my influence in its direction and its reality. Harmony is at the heart of its strategy. And, I am seeing the reality of harmony unfold in our business daily.
Don’t get me wrong… its far from perfect, but it is working.
It is so very satisfying to see the results of thoughts coming to life in the reality around me.
I am excited to be able to speak more clearly as to how harmony applied has been the driver for our success.
I want harmony to be tangible, and understandable, and believable… and I am hopeful that the evolution and growth of EMG will help make harmony visible to more people. I don’t want to share theories… I want to share a mindset that is real and actionable that is demonstrated to change the world around us for the better.
And, it is happening… everyday.
My lack of posting updates is not because of a lack of examples or ideas. It is strictly a lack of time.
But, stay mindful, stay committed, and keep working to find harmony in your each and every moment. Believe me… it works… and we must never stop working on it… because it exists only in the moment…
But dedication over time, moments over moments, harmony begetting harmony…
That is what is required to see it come to life… to have it construct something big enough to see…
Every moment is a brick…
Every moment is a grain of sand…
And, over time we can build castles and mountains…
Every moment counts…
Happy Mondays!
Trust harmony and commit to it,
Nestor
